Suicide Awareness

Mental Health First Aid for the Suicidal Person

Do you know the signs someone is at risk of suicide?

Do you know how to help someone who tells you they are suicidal?

Do you know what to say to someone to save their life?

In 2016, 2,866 Australians died by suicide. An average of 8 people a day*.

As a comparison the National road toll in 2016 was 1,295**.

Mental Health First Aid for the Suicidal Person is a 4 hour intensive training session that supports an individual to answer the above questions. This program is not designed to be a therapy session, but a delivery of evidence based information developed by mental health professionals, consumer advocates and researchers.

If you are interested in having this program delivered to your workplace or organisation please contact us for more details.
